Know all men by these presents that we W. L. Meador & Elizabeth Meador (formerly Elizabeth Howser) of Cole County and State of Missouri hath this day bargained and sold unto Moses Rhoades of Macon County and State of Tenn. one ninth interest in the lands belonging to Thos. Howser deceased, it being our entire interest in said lands for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred dollars paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged. The above lands lying and being in the County of Monroe & State of Kentucky and we bind ourselves our heirs or assigns to forever warrant and defend unto said Moses Rhoades, his heirs & etc. an undisputed right to the above named lands so far as our undivided interest extends and further bind ourselves to make unto said Rhoades a general deed of warranty. Given under our hands this 4th day of September 1865.

State of Kentucky, County of Monroe - Set. - I J. C. Conkin Clerk of Monroe County Court certify this deed W. L. Meador & Elizabeth Meador to Moses Rhoades was this day filed in my office and proven by the oath of T. J. Howser one of the subscribing witnesses thereto to be the act and deed of said granters, whereupon I have recorded the same together with this certificate in my office duly stamped.
