For and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and forty dollars ($140.00) paid in cash by J. M. & N. H. Hunter the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I Izzie O'Neal do hereby transfer and convey unto the said J. M. & N. H. Hunter their heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land, it being a part of the D. W. O'Neal land, lying in Civil District No 13 Sumner County and State of Tennessee, and bounded as follows, Beginning at a stake in the Lafayett road in John Perdue's line, thence with said road S. 65 E. 37 poles & 20 links to a stone Perdue's corner, thence South 1 E. 23 poles & 8 links to a stake in the field, thence S. 88 & 1/2 W. 93 poles & 18 links to a stake in the field, a little North of the ditch, thence N. 1 & 1/2 W. 40 poles & 23 links to the beginning containing 6 acres 3 rods & 8 perches more or less. To have and to hold said tract of land or parcel of land thereunto them belonging the said J. M. & N. H. Hunter their heirs and representatives with all its privileges and appurtenances belonging I bind myself my heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the title to said land every part of it unto the said J. M. & N. H. Hunter their heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever whereof I have set my hand, this 1st day of Oct. 1908. Izzie (her mark) O'Neal
