We D. W. O'Neal and wife I. F. O'Neal for and in consideration of the sum of fifty six dollars and Seventy cents to be paid cash by John F. Perdue the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged we have bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey unto John F. Perdue his heirs and assigns forever, a certain piece or parcel of land and said is situated and is lying in Civil District No. 13 Sumner County, Tennessee and is a part of the farm owned by us and is bounded and described as follows: Beginning on the Franklin and Lafayette Road on a rock; thence North to John F. Perdue's line; thence West to Joseph Martin and O'Neal corner, in W. Cook's line; thence South East with the meanders of the Franklin and Lafayette Road to the beginning and contains 8 acres more or less. To have and to hold said tract of land thereunto belonging to him the said John F. Perdue his heirs and assigns, we covenant with the said John F. Perdue that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said land in fee and have good right to convey the same, and the same is unencumbered. We further bind ourselves, our heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to said tract of land unto the said J. F. Perdue his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever, this the 10th day of Feby., 1909.

State of Tennessee, Sumner County - Personally appeared before me, Hampton Ray a Notary Public for said State and County, D. W. O'Neal the bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and he having acknowledged the due execution of the annexed Deed to be his act and deed to be his act and deed and for the purposes therein contained, the same is therefore certified. Also, Mrs. I. F. O'Neal wife of D. W. O'Neal and having by virtue of the authority in me vested, and she having been by me examined separate and apart from her husband and she the said Mrs. I. F. O'Neal having acknowledged the due execution of the annexed deed by her freely, voluntarily and understandingly without fear, compulsion or constraint from her husband and for the purposes therein contained, the same is therefore certified.
