William Jones to Norfleet Perry for 56 acres.........

This Indenture made and entered into this third day of February, one thousand eight hundred and twenty one between William Jones of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee of the one part and Norfleelit Perry of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William Jones for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty eight dollars to him in hand paid by the said Norfleelit Perry, the receipt is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold unto the said Norfleelit Perry a certain tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the said county of Sumner on the waters of Mansker's Creek containing fifty six acres more or less, it being the tract of land granted to Edward Jones being in the first district. Beginning at a sugar tree South West corner to Richard Jones tract of land in the North boundary line of Mrs.? Willis' land, thence West forty eight poles to a white ash corner to said Mrs.? Willis in Cantrell's line thence North with said line one hundred and eighty six poles and two thirds to a double Beach thence East forty eight poles to a sugar tree in Richard Jones' line thence South with said line to the beginning and I the said William Jones for we my heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns do warrant and defend the right and title of the before mentioned premises to him the said Norfleet Perry his heirs & assigns forever against all lawful claims of any person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal the date and year above mentioned. William Jones (Seal)

State of Tennessee, Sumner County Court February Term 1821 -  This Deed of bargain and sale between William Jones of the one part and Norfleet Perry of the other part for 56 acres of land, was proved in open court by the oaths of John P. Hogan and Isaac Walton subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be registered.
