This Indenture made this seventeenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty seven between Norfleet Perry of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee, of the one part and Nancy Bain of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of fifty dollars in hand paid by the said Nancy Bain the said Norfleet Perry hath bargained and sold five acres of land lying and being in the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee on Madison's Creek, Beginning on a Beach John P. Hogan's South West corner on William Joyner's line running thence North forty poles with said Hogan's line to a Beach then West twenty poles to a Beach then South forty poles to a Sugar tree; thence East twenty poles to the beginning and I the said Norfleet Perry for me my heirs Executors administrators & assigns do warrant siege and forever defend the before recited premises to her the said Nancy Bain her heirs and assigns forever with all that appurtaineth thereunto against all lawful claims of any person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the date and year first above mentioned. Norfleet Perry (Seal)

State of Tennessee, Sumner County Court August Term 1828 - This Deed of Bargain and Sale from Norfleet Perry to Nancy Bain for five acres of land - land was duly proved in open court by the bargainor and ordered to be registered.
