James Vaughan, To William Perry, August 21, 1806
This Indenture made, this fifth day of December, in the year of our Lord, eighteen hundred and four, between James Vaughan, of the County of Roberson and State of Tennessee, of the one part, and William Perry of the County and State, aforesaid of the other part: Witnesseth, That the said James Vaughan, for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred Dollars, to him in hand paid, by the said William Perry, at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted sold released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell, and release and confirm unto the said William Perry, his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land containing One Hundred Acres, lying and being in the County of Robertson: Beginning at a black oak Bentens corner; running West seventy seven poles and two thirds to a post oak; thence South fifty four poles to William Bensons corner on a black oak the same course with his line in all Two hundred and six poles to a hickory; thence East seventy seven poles and two thirds to a post oak James Bentons corner; thence North two hundred and six poles to the Beginning--To have and to hold the above mentioned premises and appurtenances with all and singular the benefits therefrom arising unto the only use of the said William Perry, to him his heirs and assigns, forever, and the said James Vaughan, does for himself his heirs and administrators and assigns warrant and forever defend the legal right and title of the above mentioned premises unto the said William Parry, to him his heirs and assigns forever, and the said James Vaughan, does warrant and forever defend the legal right and title to the said land, against all and every person lawfully claiming and the said Vaughan does bind himself his heirs and assigns to warrant the legal right and title of the said land unto the said William Perry, his heirs and assigns forever.
