This Indenture made this 25th day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and three. Between William Perry of the County of Sumner & state of Tennessee of the one part and John Perry of the County of Sumner & state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of six hundred dollars in hand paid, the receipt is hereby acknowledged hath bargained, sold, enfeoff and confirm unto the said John Perry his heirs & assigns forever, a certain tract of land lying and being in the county of Sumner and state aforesaid on the waters of Madison Creek, containing by estimation one hundred acres more or less, lying and being as follows to wit: Beginning at a Beach about three quarters of a mile North Madison's Lick on Simpson's West boundary line, adjoining William Orr on the East, running East 140 poles to an Ash; thence North 120 poles to a beach; thence West one hundred and forty poles to a beach; thence South 120 poles to the beginning with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said John Perry his heirs executors administrators or assigns forever, and I the said Perry for me, my heirs and assigns do warrant secure and forever defend the before recited premises to him the said John his heirs executors administrators or assigns forever, against all lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, the day and date above written.  William Perry (Seal)
