William Perry from State of Tennessee June 24, 1809
The State of Tennessee No. 597 - To all to whom these presents shall come greetings Know ye that in consideration of Military Service performed by Hardy Keel to the State of North Carolina warrant No. 5015 dated the 2nd day of December 1797 and entered on the 17th day of May 1808 by No. 336 -
There is granted by the said State of Tennessee unto William Perry assignee of the said Hardy Keel a certain tract or parcel of land Containing four hundred and twenty eight acres in Robertson County in the first district on the waters of Red River between the South fork of Red River and the Sulfur fork Beginning at a white oak; thence East three hundred about two hundred yards North of a Spring runs South two hundred poles to a post oak; thence East three hundred and forty two poles to a post oak; thence North two hundred poles to a black walnut and Elm; thence West three hundred and forty twp poles to the beginning including the place called the burnt Cabbin being the same as originally entered in the County office of Robertson on the 29th of October 1803 - Surveyed May 26th 1808 - with the hereitaments and appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with it's appointency to said William Perry and his heirs forever in witness whereof John Sevier Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set his hand and bound the great seal of the State to be affixed at Knoxville on the fourteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight and of the Independence of the United States the thirty third. Circuit Court Minute Book 2, page 210: Records of Robertson Court Feby Term 1810 - Deed William Perry to Joseph Huey for 428 acres of land was acknowledged in open court by said Perry & ordered to be registered. Robertson County Deed Index - 1796-1839 - Grantor - Perry, William, et al to Huey, Joseph, et al - book H, page 160.
