This indenture made this nineteenth day of April in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty seven between Richard Johnson Senr. of the one part and Benjamin Johnson of the other part all of the County of Sumner & State of Tennessee witnesseth that sd. Richard Johnson Senr. for and in consideration of the sum of seventeen hundred & fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Benjamin Johnson before the Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged hath Given Granted Bargained sold conveyed & confirmed and by these presents doth ___  ___ Bargin Sell and confirm unto the sd. Benjamin Johnson all that certain tract and parcel of Land lying & being in the County of Sumner & State of Tennessee on the waters of Bledsoe Creek Beginning at the Southwest corner of Reuben D. Brown called A white oak Running from the west one hundred & seventy one poles with Browns & Gethers Line to A walnut thence North one hundred & seventy poles to three small cllons?  thence East forty poles to two Mackburys? thence with A North cours till Reaching A small Branch the final from sd. _____ thence with the various  windings  until it Reaches the Large Branch thence up said Branch with its different courses to John Mabry's line thence with sd. Mabrys Line with its Different courses is to Reubin D. Browns Line thence with sd. Browns Line South to the Beginning containing one hundred and seventy five Acres be the same more or less together with all woods matons? mines minerals hereditaments appurtenances to have & to hold the before Recited tract of Lands with all afec. Singular the years & profits of in & to the same belonging or appertaining to the only proper use Benefit & behoof  of him the sd. Benjamin his heirs & assigns forever and the sd. Richard for himself his heirs Executors administrators doth covenant and agree to & with the said Benjamin his heirs and assigns that the before Recited  tract of Land & Bargained premises he will warrant and forever defend against the Right title interest & claim of all and every person or persons whatever.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date first above written.

Sumner County           }        deed of Bargain and sale from Richard Johnson to Benjamin Johnson for one hundred and seventy five acres of land was acknowledged in open court by the said Richard Johnson and is ordered to be certified for registration.
