This indenture made and entered into this 11th day of Novr. 1852 between William, Elijah, Robert, Lewis, Jesse, Elias, W. Tyree, John H. and  Isaac A. Dorrises Caroline Blackard and her husband Joshua Blackard, Permelia Callis and her husband William Callis, Martha Honeycut and her husband Preston Honeycut, Zilpha Bradley and her husband Abram Bradley Heirs at law of William Dorris Senr. Dec'd of the county of Sumner and State of Tennessee of the one part and Peter Sang of the county & State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said heirs for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and seventy five dollars to them in hand paid by the said Sang at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents have bargained and sold unto the aid Sang a certain tract or parcel of land and premises lying and being in the said county of Sumner in Dist. No. 10 and bounded as follows to wit:  Beginning at a stake with Black Gum pointers running North 67 degrees East 60 poles to a Post Oak corner W. B. Neal then 44 degrees East 15 poles to a Black oak corner to sd. Neal, Then East 94 poles to a Black oak Thos. Perdue's west boundary line, then South 102 poles to  a stake in a field Then South 78 degrees West 126 poles to three White Oaks in a Branch Then South 14 1/2 poles to a dead Oak Then South 82 degrees West 44 poles to an Elm, Then North 156 poles to the Beginning, Containing one hundred and thirty five acres be the same more or less.  To have and to hold the said land and premises with the said Sang his heirs executors Administrators and assigns forever and we the said heirs do warrant and defend the right of said land and premises from the lawful claim or claims of any and every person or persons whatsoever unto the said Sang his heirs and assigns forever.  In witness whereof we the said heirs have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals the day and date first above written, And in presents of the subscribing witnesses.

Sumner County  To Samuel Kirkpatrick Esqr.  You are hereby authorized and empowered to take the examination of Permelia Collis and Caroline Blackard privately and apart from their husbands relative to their free execution of the within Deed and the same is taken certify under your hand and seal, Witness John L. Bugg Clerk of the county Court of Sumner county at office the 29th Sept. 1852.

Kirkpatrick an acting Justice in and for said county Permelia Callis and Caroline Blackard separate and apart from their husbands and acknowledged the within conveyance to be their lawful act and deed and that they conveyed the same without persuasion threats or rewards.  Given under my hand and seal the day and date above written.
