The State of Tennessee No. 7605 - To all to Whom These Presents Shall Come Greeting: Know ye that in Consideration of Military service performed by Abraham Visser to the State of North Carolina Warrant No 5233 dated the 9th day of December 1797 And entered on the 26th day of September 1809 by No.3___ There is granted by the said State of Tennessee unto James McKendree and Frances & Nancy Dudley McKendree Assignees of the Heirs of the sd. Abraham Visser a Certain tract or parcel of land Containing fifty acres part of said Warrant by Survey bearing date the 6th day of July 1814 lying in Sumner County in the first District on the long branch Water of Red river and bounded as follows to witt: Beginning in the North boundary line of Eli Stalcups That he lives on, ten poles East of Where said line crosses his Spring branch which is a large Cave spring, thence West with said Stalcups line fifty seven & thence forth poles To a hickory, thence north Seventy three poles to a Stake in The south boundary of William McKendree two hundred acre survey, thence east with said line one hundred & twenty Eight & three forth poles to pointers, thence south nine & a half Poles to a stake Thomas Groves Senr north west corner, thence West twenty two poles to a small black oak. Allen Groves Corner thence South Sixty three and a half poles to a hickory, Allen Groves Corner of his forty acre tract, thence West with Stalcups line forty nine poles to the Beginning. With the Here adamants & appurtenances to have & to Hold the sd tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the sd James McKendree and Frances McKendree and Nancy Dudley McKendree And their Heirs forever --- In Witness where of Willie Blount Governor of the State of Tennessee hath here unto set his hand And has set the great seal of the State to be Affixed at Nashville(?) on the Eighteenth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifteen and of the Independence of the United States the fortieth.
