The State of Tennessee, No. 7604 - To all to whom these presents shall come greeting - Know in that by virtue of part of Certificate No. 90 dated the 15th day of September 1808 obtained from the Commissioners of West Tennessee by the heirs of Alexander Mabane & entered on the 24th day of October 1810 by No. 5382 there is granted by the said State of Tennessee unto James McKindree assignee of the said heirs of Alexander Mabane a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres by survey bearing date the __ day of July 1814 lying in Sumner County in the first District on the waters of Long branch of Red river and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a black thirty eight poles north of Eli Stalcups south west corner running north with his west boundary line ninety six poles to an ash Stalcups north west corner, Thence east with this line thirty six poles to a hickory, thence north with the west boundary line of a fifty acre tract of McKindrees seventy three poles to a black oak on said McKindrees two hundred acre survey, thence west with said line eighty eight poles to a Hickory, thence south with Bowmans line two hundred and fifty seven poles to a black oak, thence east fifty two poles to a white oak, thence north eighty eight poles to the Beginning. Including the vacant land adjoining Wallace Harris & ____ Stalcups, with the Here adamants and appurtenances to have and hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances to the sd James McKindree and his heirs forever. In Witness where of Willie Blount Governor of the State of Tennessee hath her unto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed at Nashville on the eighty day of August in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fifteen & of the Independence of the United States the fortieth. James McKindree is entitled to the within mentioned tract of land.
