This deed, between George Welch and his wife Nancy J. Welch of the first part, and J. H. Richardson of the second part, witnesseth that the party of the first part, in consideration of one land note that I hold against said Welch, as balance on said land note that I hold against said Welch for land herein deeded, amount of said note being about one-hundred and seventy-five dollars ($175.00). It is further agreed by the party of the first part that is to give possession to the party of the second part on 1st day of January 1902, and pay all taxes due up to said date, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby sell, grant and convey to the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns the following described property, viz: House and lot

situated in the town of Tompkinsville, Ky. and bounded as follows: Beginning at the east corner of the Monroe Scurlock's lot, which lot lies on Mechanie? Street in the town of Tompkinsville, Ky; thence North East a distance of seven-nine (79) feet to M. D. Kidwell's line; thence North West to another street; thence South West to the North corner of John Hale's line on the same street; thence South East to the East corner of said Hail's lot; thence South East to the North corner of Monroe Scurlock's lot; thence South East to the beginning. To have and to hold the same, with all the appurtenances thereon, to the second party his heirs and assigns forever, with covenant of "General Warranty." In testimony whereof, witness our signatures this 6th day of December 1901.

State of Kentucky, County of Monroe - Set. - I A. H. Williams, Clerk of the Monroe County Court, certify that the foregoing Deed from George Welch and his wife Nancy J. Welch to R. H. Richardson was, on the 6th day of Dec. 1901, lodged in this office for record, certified as above, whereupon I have recorded the same, together with this and the foregoing certificate in my said office. This Dec. 7, 1901.
