Rained all day January 1, 1947 and rained all day and night Jan. 2, still raining, and morning, sure rough.

Aunt Dora Johnson went back to her sisters Jan.3, 1947.
Mr. and Mrs. Wildmone ate dinner with us January 5 1947.
Irene and myself called on our new neighbors Jan. 4, 1947, the Scotts.
Mr. Aaron Jernigan's mother died Jan. 3, 1947.
Dick Edward Wilkerson's baby died Jan. 6, 1947.
Sam Harris moved in the T. W. Briley's old home Jan. 5, 1947, Sunday.

Mr. Bob Durrett died January 1947. *(Robert E. Durrett, was a brother to Leslie, Jim and Bert, Ernest, and Annie Durrett Blackard. his daughter, Kathleen, still lives at White House on the farm he owned. He also owned a grocery store (Durrett Grocery) for many years and was a land mark at White House, Tennessee.)mj

Richard Whitley and Margaret Stewart married Jan. 23, 1947.
Billie Moore and family, Harry Link and family came and had supper with us Jan. 11, 1947.
Mr. Wildmone killed his hogs January 9, 1947.
Mr. Bob Sanders died Jan. 20, 1947 age 78.
Mr. Jim Parks died Jan. 17, 1947, age 83.
Jack and Irene went to Irby's Jan. 25, 1947.
Myrtle B. Smith spent the day with us, Feb. 1, 1947.

J. Edward Sprouse, Jr. murdered Jan 6, 1947 murdered James D. Sandusky and John D. Kelley, the 2 boys killed Sprouse.

Irby and his family spent the day with us Feb. 16, 1947.
Percy Priest and Mildred Nolan married Feb. 14, 1947.
Margaret Truman, the President's daughter Birthday, Feb. 17, 1947 age 23, 1947.
Wimfrey Clay Link and Francy Marie Nelson married Feb. 7, 1947.

George Washington's birthday Feb. 22, 1947 age 2 hundred 15.
Bill Goodman and Laura parted in Feb. 1947.

March came in like a Lion, Snowing, Sleeting and cold. 1947
Joe Greer spent the day and night with Hugh, March 1, 1947.
Walter Link died March 5, 1947 age 77.
Mrs. Maurine W. West died March 10, 1947 age 34, Ivy Pitts' sister.
John A. Summers and 1 of his Boys here March 10, 1947.
Mrs. Alice Bowling came to see us March 15, 1947.

Irene and myself went to see Mr. and Mrs. Whitley April 2, 1947.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Briley , Mr. and Mrs. Sam Harris and Mr. Gill Scott was to see us Sunday eve. April 6, 1947 Easter, we had a fine Easter Dinner.

Henry Ford died April 7, 1947 age 84.
Laura Lamberth and Edward Honeycutt married April 5, 1947, Edie Hales' girl.
Dorothy Whitley Deaux came home April 14, 1947.
Irby Hester and family spent Sunday with us Aril 20, 1947.
Aunt Dora Johnson came home from her sister's April 24, 1947, feeling bad.
Irby's family and Granville family spent the day with Harry Link 's family April 27, 1947.

Mr. and Mrs. Wildmone, Blonnie and Nannie Linson and 2 boys, Woodrow Linson and wife came to see us Sunday eve, April 27, 1947.

Irby Hester cut his hand April 1947, had to have 2 stitches taken in hand.
Harry Link cut his hand on a syrup bucket, had to have 7 stitches taken April 25, 1947.
I went to see Aunt Dora Johnson April 30 and came home May 1st 1947.
Mrs. Dollie Roney Hendricks died April 30, 1947 age 82, Ral Roney's sister.
Edward Allen Vanatta died April 30, 1947 age 14, a grandson of Bose White.

Hubert Broadrick and Rebecca Baily married May 3, 1947.
Frost and ice May 8, 9, 1947 and cold, more ice the 10.
Mrs. Whitley, Margaret and Shirley came to see us May 13, 1947.
Mrs. Alice Bowling came to see us May 8, 1947 and went home the 16, 1947.

Our family went to see Irby and his family Sunday May 18, 1947, a Birthday dinner. His Birthday was the 20 of May.

Mrs. Icy Poole died May 18, 1947, age 58 years 12 days.
Lord how it does Rain and all the strawberries to pick May, 1947.
Irene and myself went to Franklin, Ky. Saturday May 31, 1947. Clay Link carried us.
I went to see Aunt Dora Johnson May 23, 1947 came home 27.

Mrs. Nora Stewart called on Mrs. Alice Bowling and myself June 16, 1947.
Mrs. Alice Bowling came June 13, and went home the 19, 1947.
I went to see Aunt Dora Johnson June 25, come home 27, 1947.
Irby and his family spent Sunday with us June 22, 1947.
