Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Oct. 16, 1953, Pollie Huffines, aged 59 years. Survived by sons: Melvin, Aaron and Willie Huffines; daughters, Mrs. Jonah Belcher, Mrs. James Browning; eight grandchildren, all of Nashville; a brother, Jerry Huffines of Hartsville; sisters, Mrs. Reola Davenport of Lafayette, Mrs. Jess Sloan of Nashville, Mrs. Paschal Slack of Mitchelville. Remains are at the home of his son, Melvin Huffines, 204 Spring Street, where funeral services will be conducted Sunday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. Luther Morris. Pallbearers: Guy, Eugene, and James Sloan, Frank Garrett, Theron Stevenson, Harold D. Stubblefield. Interment Brackentown Cemetery. Cole & Garrett Funeral Directors.
