MRS. OVANDA HUNTER DIES - AT FOUNTAIN HEAD HOME

Mrs. Ovanda Hunter of Fountain Head, Tenn., mother of Mrs. Jas. Ragland, died at her home, Saturday, January 10, 1942. She was 75 years of age. She had been a sufferer from rheumatism and other complications for several years.. She was a good Christian woman, a member of the General Baptist church for the past 42 years, and was loved by all who knew her. Her husband preceded her in death about six years. She leaves six children: Risden, Lonnie and Oscar Hunter, all of Portland; Carlos Hunter of Indianapolis, Ind., Willie Hunter of Nashville, Tenn., Mrs. Mary Ragland of Lafayette, Tenn. and Mrs. Lula Gregory of Portland. Also 24 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Eli McQuistian of Portland, Frank McQuistian of Goodlettsville; three sisters, Mrs. Will Hobdy, Mrs. Charlie Daisy and Mrs. Joe Short, all of Portland, and a host of other relatives and friends.
