Services Held For Mrs. Hunter
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Francis Hunter,
92, were held Sunday morning at the Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home
at 10:30 am. The Reverend Hobart Cook officiated. Burial was in the Portland
Family Cemetery near Portland. She was a native of Sumner County and a daughter
of Wash and Sallie Etheridge Cook. Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Carrie
Jones and Mrs. Nellie Denning of Portland, two sons; Jim Hunter of Portland
and Virgil Hunter, Mitchellville, ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren
and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Eldridge Rites Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Deaux Eldridge, 52, were held at the
Orlinda Church of Christ, Saturday at 10:30 am. Frank Jernigan officiated.
Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Eldridge was a native of Robertson
County and had spent most of her life in the Orlinda community. Survivors
include her husband, Adairville, Ky.; three sons, three daughters, two brothers,
two sisters, and five grandchildren.

News was received here of the death of Miss Mai Reese of Nashville
Sunday. She has many friends here who regret her passing.

Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Odell visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe Baulch in Nashville
and attended the funeral of his cousin, Mr. Elmer Baulch.
Westmoreland News
Mr. Steve Morris died Thursday morning after being in bad health for
sometime. His sister, Mrs. Willie Lee Tuttle died only a few days
ago.
