JOE R. PARKS DIES; RITES WEDNESDAY
Funeral services for Joe Robertson Parks, 85, who died Monday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Floyd Hall in Fountain Head, were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant General Baptist church. The Rev. Charlie Harper officiated and burial was in the Hopewell Cemetery. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Mt. Pleasant General Baptist church. His parents were the late Riley and Elizabeth Albright Parks. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Parks; three other daughters, Mrs. Claude Hall, Cottontown, Mrs. Dovie Carlisle and Mrs. Evie Austin, Springfield; three sons, Wesley Parks, Indianapolis, Ind., Lonnie Parks, Portland and Jodie Parks, Springfield; one brother, G. W. Parks, Cottontown; 44 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
