Ed C. Perry, Westmoreland, died on arrival to the Sumner County Memorial Hospital Monday, June 1. He was 65. Funeral services were conducted at 11 am Thursday, June 4, at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with burial in New Hope Cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Addie L. Richardson Perry, Westnoreland; one brother, James H. Perry, Louisville; two sisters, Mrs. Haden Graves and Mrs. Edgar Troutt, both of Westmoreland.

Mrs. Virginia Howell, a resident of Route 4, Westmoreland, passed away June 9, at the Sumner County Memorial Hospital in Gallatin. She was 64. Survivors include a son Steve Howell, Westmoreland; brother, Carl Morgan, Westmoreland; and one sister, Sadie Tuttle of Westmoreland. Funeral services were held June 10 at the Siloam Missionary Baptist Church. With burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Louis Sadler, Westmoreland, was dead on arrival at the Sumner County Memorial Hospital, Monday, June 15. He was 73. He is survived by his wife, Erma L. Sadler, Westmoreland; three sons, Wesley Lee Sadler and James L. Sadler, both of Westmoreland; Harry Loyd Sadler, Gallatin; six daughters, Wanda Holmes, Lafayette; Mrs. Jane Graham, Antioch; Mrs. Peggy Marugg, Scottsville; Mrs. Billy W. Clark, Westmoreland; Mrs. Nadine Jenkins, Frankfort, Indiana; Mrs. Willie M. McClanahan, Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers, Ellis Sadler, Bethpage; Eugene Sadler, Indianapolis, Indiana; four sisters, Mrs. Lucille Perry, Bethpage; Mrs. Ruth White and Mrs. Venor Jones, both of Whitehouse, Mrs. Louise Johnson, Gallatin; 34 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 pm Wednesday, June 17, at Westmoreland General Baptist Church with burial in Sadler Cemetery.

Jessie Ray Wagoner, a 56 year old resident of Westmoreland, died at the Sumner County Memorial Hospital in Gallatin Monday, August 3, 1981. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 5, 2 pm, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Survivors include Lena Rippy Wagoner, Westmoreland; two step-sons, Ray Dean Carter, Centerville, Tennessee, and Douglas Carter, Nashville, Tennessee; one sister, Mrs. Bessie East, Gallatin, Tennessee; and three step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.

Bessie Troutt Keen, Route 2, Westmoreland, Tennessee, died Wednesday, August 5, 1981, at the Sumner County Memorial Hospital in Gallatin, Tennessee. She was 83. Funeral services were held Friday, August 7, 2 pm at the Mount Union Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Loretta Pedigo, Westmoreland, and Mrs. Ruby Young, Adolphus; one step-daughter, Mrs. Inez Pardue, Westmoreland; three grandchildren; one step grandchild; one great grandchild and two step great-grandchildren.

Holly Fran Woodard, the 16 month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Woodard , Westmoreland, died Tuesday, August 25, at Vanderbilt Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 27, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel, Westmoreland, with Brother Dale Flowers officiating. Burial followed at Eulia. Survivors in addition to the parents include one sister at home, Ida Nicole Woodard; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Giles, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Woodard, all of Westmoreland and great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Woodard, Carthage.

Bonnie Barham, 71, died at her home in Bridgeport, Alabama, Friday, August 28, after a lengthy illness. Survivors include her husband R. K. Barham, Jr.; one daughter, Nancy Payne, Chattanooga, and one son Charles Barham, Westmoreland, three sisters, Bertha Daughery, Violet Lea, both of Athens, Alabama; Wilma Griffith, South Pittsburg, Tennessee; and one brother, Charles Gilliam, Decatur, Alabama, survive. Other survivors include seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 29, at 2 pm at the Bridgeport Methodist Church. Burial followed in the Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee.

Willie R. Garrett, age 62, of Bethpage, died Tuesday, September 1, at the Sumner County Memorial Hospital. He is survived by his father, Carey S. Garrett. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 3, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Holder officiating. Burial followed at the Bradley Cemetery.

Betty Jennell Estrada, age 26, of Cashion, Arizona, died there Saturday, August 29, as a result of an auto accident. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Donie M. Love, Westmoreland; one son, Larry Joe Keen, and one daughter, Melissa Jennell Keen, both of Cashion, Arizona. Other survivors include two sisters, Gracie Irene Calvert, Colorado; Norma Jean Runyon, Westmoreland; and two brothers, David Lee Love and Tony Lee Love, both of Westmoreland. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 2, at 2 pm at the Eulia Baptist Church with Brother Merrell Wix officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Johnnie E. Jenkins, 77, died at his home in Westmoreland, September 13, 1981, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Jenkins returned to Westmoreland after retiring from Caterpillar Tractor Company, Peoria, ILL., in 1966. He served as Westmoreland City Judge from 1967-1977. He also served as V.F.W., 4th District Commander, 1970-1971, and was an active member in local V.F.W. Post 9806, being a lifetime member. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Cothron Jenkins, a daughter, Hollis Spak of E. Detroit, Mich., a grandson, John Spak, also of E. Detroit. Funeral services were held at the Alexander Funeral Home at 11 am Wednesday, September 16, 1981, conducted by Elder F. W. Lambert. Burial was in the Eulia Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Ralph Denney, Guy Yelton, David Brown, Bill Caudill, Coleman Merryman, and James Dalton.

Mrs. Delia Carter, age 82, of Hermitage, died September 23 at Smyrna Hospital. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. C. A. (Mable) Gilliam of Hermitage and a sister, Mrs. Julia Stamps of Kentucky. Other survivors include two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held September 24, at 2 pm at the Alexander Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

E. Russell Carter, age 71, of Brownsburg, Indiana, died Sunday, September 20, at his home. He was a retired school bus driver for Sumner County and a mail carrier for Westmoreland. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Carter, and two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Patty) Richard of Brownsburg, Indiana; and Mrs. Robert (Mable Jo) Wedel of Gary, ILL. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Morris of Westmoreland and Miss Ruth Carter of Westmoreland; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Alexander Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Fannie Sue Nimmo, Pleasant Grove Road, Westmoreland, died Thursday 1 at the Beene Nursing Home in Hartsville. She was 89. Survivors include two sons; Charles A. Nimmo of Castalian Springs and William G. Nimmo of Deer Lodge, Montana. Other Survivors include six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, October 3 at the Alexander Funeral Home in Westmoreland with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Clarence W. Coates, Bethpage, died Wednesday, October 7, at Highland Hospital in Portland. He was 78. Survivors include his wife, Mary Wells Coates; two sons, Stephen J. Coates of Westmoreland and Daniel Coates of Westmoreland; five daughters, Mrs. Carlene McMurtry and Mrs. Carol Brooks of Indianapolis; Mrs. Judy Graves and Mrs. Karen Clark of Westmoreland; and Mrs. Lavonne Eaton of Bethpage. Other survivors include two brothers, Harold Coates of Gallatin, and Chestley Coates of Gallatin; one sister, Mrs. Velma Heath of Portland; and 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 am at Forest Chapel Methodist Church with burial in Forest Chapel Cemetery.

Steven Franklin Caldwell was pronounced dead on arrival at Sumner County Memorial Hospital Saturday, October 10. He was 34. Survivors include two brothers, Allen Lee Caldwell of Westmoreland, and Donald Ray Caldwell of Westmoreland; two half sisters, Kimberly Sue Caldwell of Lafayette; and Cindy Marie Caldwell of Lafayette. Funeral services were held at 11 am Tuesday October 13, at Garrett's Creek with burial in Caldwell Cemetery.

Annie G. Cook of Toledo, Ohio, died Saturday, October 10, at St. Charles Hospital in Ohio. She was 94. Survivors include one son, John A. Cook of Toledo, Ohio. Other survivors include sever grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, October 12, at 2 pm, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Westmoreland with burial in Green Grove Cemetery.

Gladys Mince Vantrease, Route 3, Westmoreland, died Sunday, October 11, at Sumner County Memorial Hospital. She was 57. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Hayden Vantrease and one son, Earnie Russell Meador of Westmoreland. Other survivors include two brothers, Gaston Mince of Bethpage, and Floyd Mince of Cocomo, Indiana; one sister, Mrs. Mary Lee Byrd of Bethpage. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 13, at 2 pm at the Alexander Funeral Home with burial in the Crestview Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Grady Wainscott of Bethpage, two sons, Ronnie Wainscott of Lebanon and Ricky Wainscott of Bethpage, one foster son, Joel Brown of Bethpage. Other survivors include one brother, Romas Lee Thompson of Bethpage; three sisters, Sally Thompson of Bethpage; Sadie Tuttle of Westmoreland; and Hazel Williams of Westmoreland; one step-brother, Virgil Thompson and one step-sister, Hubbard Williams of Bransford, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 11, at 2 pm, at Buffalo Springs Missionary Baptist in Bransford with burial in Bradley Cemetery.

Other survivors include one brother, Cordell Braswell of Macon, Ga.; and two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Tate of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and Mrs. Lillian Logan of Birmingham, Ala. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, November 10, at 2 pm at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Westmoreland, with burial at the Fairfield Cemetery.

Anderson, Westmoreland; four brothers, Clarence Dant of England; Joseph T. Dant, Indianapolis, Indiana; Thomas S. Dant, Cicero, Indiana; and Gerold B. Mattingly, Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Newton of St. Francis, Kentucky; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Myrtle Creasy, Route 4, Westmoreland, died November 16 at the Sumner County Memorial Hospital. She was 90. Survivors include four sons, Fred Creasy, J. W. Creasy, Claude Creasy, all of Westmoreland; and Charles Creasy of Madison; and three daughters, Mrs. Idellia Lambert of Adolphus, Ky.; Mrs. Janice Cook of Westmoreland; Mrs. Frances Dorris of Hillsboro, Tn. Other survivors include one brother, Leo Goad of Gary, Ind.; and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Freeman of Westmoreland; and Mrs. Lassie Jones of Chicago, Ill.; 30 grandchildren and 71 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on November 18, at 2 pm, at the Westmoreland Church of God with burial at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Deleta Leafty, 63, formerly of Westmoreland, died November 13 at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. She was 63. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. J. H. Dickerson of Westmoreland; two brothers, Leroy Harlan of Corydon, Iowa and Ed Harlan of Trenton, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Lorene Carlson of Liberty, Mo.; and Mrs. Cora Duden of Modesto, Cal. Other survivors include two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 17, at the Alexander Funeral Home in Westmoreland with burial in the Eulia Cemetery.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at Providence General Baptist Church with burial in the Fairfield Cemetery. A Sumner County farmer, Mandrell is survived by his wife, Evelyn Keen Mandrell; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Rusaw Mandrell, Westmoreland; a son, William Aaron Mandrell, Westmoreland; a daughter, Mrs. Hollis Tucker, Westmoreland; one brother, Joe G. Mandrell, Indianapolis; a sister, Mildred Phillips, Indianapolis; and seven grandchildren.

John David Templeton, 76, of Bethpage, died Tuesday, November 24, at Nashville Memorial Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Earlene Templeton; three daughters, Ruth Graves, Gallatin, Maxine Perdue, Portland, and Linda Seltzer, Mare Island, Calif.; three sisters, May Wheeler, Gallatin, Louise Gilmore, Castalian Springs and Elizabeth Smith, Hartsville; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 25, at 2 pm, at the Donoho-Legge-Newby Funeral Home with Brother Ralph Kidd officiating. Burial followed in Crestview Park.

Bernice Henry Key, 83, Route 3, Westmoreland, died Sunday, December 6, at the Sumner County Memorial Hospital. He is survived by one brother, Herman Key, Westmoreland, and a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Alexander Funeral Home in Gallatin Tuesday, December 8, with burial following in New Hope Cemetery.

Delbert W. Mandrell, 71, Franklin, formerly of Westmoreland, died Monday, December 7, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He is survived by his wife Hazel; three daughters, Sarah Joyce Bomar of Franklin; Jo Ann Bracey , Gallatin; Eubry Simmons, Russellville and two sons, Frank Mandrell, Indianapolis, and David Mandrell, Bethpage. One sister, Mrs. Cassie Graves, Westmoreland, survives along with 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Thursday, December 10, at Rocky Mound with burial following there.

Mrs. Bertha Moncrief, widow of Earl W. Moncrief, formerly of Westmoreland, died unexpectedly Thanksgiving at her home in Louisville, Ky. She is survived by sister, Ruth Henry and by Mrs. Grover C. Todd, both of Bristol, Va.; one niece, Martha Moncrief, Seeger, Calif., and one nephew, James W. Moncrief of Bristol, Va. The latter and Mrs. Todd flew from Bristol to Louisville for her funeral on Tuesday.
