William Edward Hunt was born in Smith County, TN on 3 Jan 1871, died 6 Nov 1951. He was the son of John Able Hunt (d Oct. 1880, Smith County) and Lucy Jane Thomas (b abt. 1853). Janie Ruth Hunt was the daughter of William Joseph (Joe) Hunt (b 11 Aug 1847, Smith Co., TN, d 3 Feb 1927, Smith Co., TN) and Frances Paralee Allman (b abt. 1852). Janie was born in Smith County on 22 August 1882 and died 17 Mar 1923 in Smith County. John Able Hunt and William Edward Hunt were sons of Daniel Hobert Hunt and Martha Unknown. Daniel Hobert Hunt was the son of Able C. Hunt and Elizabeth Bell.
