In Memoriam.
Mrs. John Mason died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. N. Branham, Gray Street, Tuesday evening, November the 25, of heart trouble. Mrs. Mason was 70 years old. Before her marriage she was Miss Ellen Williams. She was born in Allen County, Kentucky, in 1854 but has lived in Sumner County since 1861. She was a true Christian woman, patient in all her trials and sufferings. She was the mother of a large family. Only three girls survive her, Mrs. B. B. Hargis of Paducah, Kentucky, Mrs. Lula Branham of Route 2, and Mrs. R. N. Branham of Gallatin. She has been since childhood a devout member of the Methodist Church. The burial took place at 10 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Bethpage.
