Buried along side her husband, in Cardon Valley Cemetery. (SIMS) SARRATT, d. 16 May 1938, age 79y, and is buried along side her husband in the Cardon Valley Cemetery, Faulkner Co., AR. [REF:#1719.002, Pg27] This is the last record found for this family! NOTES:#1 Ellis GIBBS, husband of Georgie E. SURRATT, was a brother of Alvie GIBBS, the husband of Effie L. SURRATT.
Georgie E. & Effie L. were first cousins, though not really, because Ervin W. SURRATT and Samuel S. Surratt were only half brothers.#2. James H. & Neat (ALLINDER) SURRATT lived around McCrory, Ark. [Woodruff Co.] and Bald Knob, Ark. [White Co.] She was the dau. John Thomas ALLINDER,
b. 29 Sep 1861 - d. 93 Feb 1919 and Mother: Hattie Josephine ALLINDER,
b. 15 Aug 1863 - d. 23 Jun 1928. Both buried: Cardon Valley Cemetery.#3. James H. SURRATT & "Neat" ALLINDER, had five or six Children:
Sonny Boy (Oldest) three or four girls, and Jerry (youngest)#4. Sarah M.(yrtle) SURRATT (age 14y) m. Hinkle INGRAM (age 22y) on 11 Aug 1907, Faulkner Co., Ark. MBk "K", Pg391. It was to this home that Samuel S. SURRATT's body was brought before burial at East Shady Grove. #5. #3.There are other relationaships that need to be spelled out!
Sarah Ann SIMS, wife of Ervin W. SURRATT, was the sister of Belle SIMS, wife of John Daniel SURRATT. Of cource, Ervin W. and John D. werefull brothers, and so their children would be double first cousins.
St Clair Co., AL., was created 1818 from the larger Shelby Co.. The County Seat is Ashville, AL 35953 & Pell City 35125. It is located in the Northeast part of the State. Bounded by Blount Co. on the Northwest; Etowaw Co. on the Northeast; Calhoun Co. on the East; Talladega Co. on the South East; Shelby Co. on the South West; with Jefferson Co., on the West. (First Census 1820, Probate Judge at Ashville has: Marriage Probate, Land & Estate Rcords from 1800; Clerk. Circuit Court. has divorce & Civil Court records.)
