They had at least 4 Children born to this short Union:
	1. 1st Son: Leonard SARRATT, c1845- Not Traced!

	4. 2nd Dau: Nancy, SARRATT, c1849- Not Traced!

Absalom's second son appears to be Thomas Sarratt.
The evidence used is his appearance with Absalom and John in the same
place in the census in North Carolina and his name which indicates
he was named after his grandfather. [REF:#90, Pg 111]

  Possible Record Problem!
  In [REF:#90, Pg 111] states:
There are not many records about Thomas, but in the 1820 census he appears with Absalom. There is also an unclear picture concerning his family. In 1820 he had two little boys and one little girl. In 1830 Census, Thomas is on on page 203, line 28 of the Davidson County census, Absalom's name is on line 26, John's is line 27, He does not appear on any records found so far for 1840, but he appears in Brown County, Illinois, in 1850.
In 1850 he had three little children all born after he was 35y Ellen, Stephen, and Nancy. Either his younger children died in some epidemic, which was not unusual, or the census is incorrect.
The 1820 Thomas is NOT this subject, he is Thomas,1 SARRATT (Over 45) age 70yrs old He is a Son Samuel & 2nd Wife Honour)..prs
Thomas,5 SARRATT, a25y can be ifentified living with his own Family in the 1830 Census, for Davidson Co., NC. [See 1830 Census, M-019, Reel 120, Page 203, F.G. 28] H/H Thomas SURRATT, a21y b. 1809 SC. (20 to 30) Wife: Catherine, a19y b. 1811 SC. (20 to 30) <--Note Age? (No Children Listed! (Father's Absalom's is on line 26, (Brother Johns' is line 27, He does not appear on any records found so far for 1840, but he appears in Brown County, Illinois, in 1850. [REF:#90, Pg 111] Thomas,5 SARRATT, a45y can be ifentified living with his own Family in the 1850 Census, for Brown Co., IL. [See 1850 Census, M-432, Reel 098, Page 284, F.Visit: 0738] H/H Thomas SERRATT, a41y b. 1809 SC. Note age & b. SC.? Wife: Catherine, a39y b. 1811 SC. Note age & b. SC.? 1. 1st Dau: Ellen, a 3y b. 1847 IL. 2. 1st Son: Stephen, a 2y b. 1848 IL. 3. 2nd Dau: Nancy, 14 a 1y b. 1849 IL. Thomas,5 SARRATT, a51y appears to have died prior to 1860 2 of his his children, Ellen, a13y and Stephen, a12y were living with John and Margaret (BRIGGS) SARRATT, Thomas' brother. His wife, Catharine (Unknown) SARRATT, also seems to be missing from all records after the 1850 Census, and here again it can only be speculated they (Thomas.5 & Catherine) died in an outbreak of cholera or typhoid which so often decimated pioneer families. [REF:[REF:#90, Pg 111] Daugter Nancy SARRATT, a11y does not appear on the 1860 census with John & Margaret (BRIGGS) SARRATT, but she might have been overlooked by the census taker. It is difficult to say what happened to this family. [REF:#90, Pg 111] If they are buried in the family burial ground, no stones exist for them and there are no records for them in the courthouse, except for a guardian bond for Nancy and Ellen, minor heirs of Thomas Sarratt, deceased. The bond was signed by Daniel J. Sarratt, Thomas younger brother, and A.A. Glenn, clerk of the court, on 23 Nov. 1864. [REF:#90, Pg 111] In the case of Son Stephen SARRATT, b. c1848 IL. his record is clear. He died 02 Dec 1864, age 16 years, in service during the Civil War, but the war records in Springfield, Illinois in the state archives, differ from the cemetery record because they state that he served as a private in the 10th Cavalry of Illinois. [REF:#90, Pg 111] The National Archives records also stated he joined the 10th Cavalry at Mt. Sterling on 24 Feb. 1864, that he had dark eyes, dark hair, and he was 5 feet, 7 inches tall. His death seems to have occurred at Mound City, Illinois at the age of 18 (b. 1846) from "chronic diarrhea" and he was brought home to be buried with his relatives in Versailles Twp., Brown Co., IL. The 1850 & 1860 census show he would have been a16y when he enlisted and died, and he may have been, but fudged a bit in order to serve his country. [REF:#90, Pg 111]
