I have 7 william's born between 1629 and 1892 but none born in
1790. I have Mary Rippy born 1762 sister to Nancy Ann Rippy who married to
John Elmore 1758-1836. I don't have any children nor husband for
your Mary Rippy. The Nancy Ann Rippy's parents are Edward Ross Rippy Sr. b. 1731 Dublin
Ireland and his wife was Susannah Tomes, no further info on her.
Here's a bunch of stuff I had stashed in my Family Tree maker under Edward
Ross Rippy Sr. Hope you and others can use it.
I saw your query in the Barren Co. Ky list. My wife is a descendent of John
Elmore (b 22 Oct 1758) Lunnenburg Va.
and Anne Nancy Rippey (b 22 Jul 1766) Orange NC. They had 8 children of which
Abraham was the last born ca 1803 in NC. My wife is a descendent of the 7th
child Nancy Elmore (b 24 Feb 1797) in Orange Co NC. She married John
Brockman on 5 Jan 1820 in Barren Co. Ky. They later moved to Miller Co. Mo. where they died.
John Elmore served in the Rev War in the NC Militia so his descendents are qualified to join the
DAR or SAR. Children of John Elmore were

My 2 gr grandfather was Williams Elmore, born NC about 1790. I have been
told he was a son of William Elmore and Mary Rippy but I have not been able
to prove that. In 1820 in Gallatin IL he married Mary Neal (Her family name
was Estes....her first husband was a Mr. Neal). They were in Hardeman Co TN
in the 1820s then back in IL by early 1830s. The lived in Jackson Co IL
where he died sometime after 1860. Their daughter Lutitia was my gr
grandmother. She married Allen G Williams in Jackson Co in 1857.
Other records show Edward R. RIPPY,1 wife was Susannah THOMAS! not TOMES
