Uncle JOHN SARRATT married JANE ELLIS, sister to LETITIA (ELLIS) SARRATT and reared two sons; IRWINE and JOHN; and five daughters; BARBARA, LOUISA, HARRIET, NARCISSA, and EMLINE.
Nobel, omitted 4th daughter "Patsy" SARRATT, that married c1836 to J.R. ELLIS per John,6 W&T. ..prs

JOHN SARRATT, Jr., and wife, where buried near there upon Mike's Creek, where he first settled. A couple of tombstones mark their resting place:

JANE, his wife May 11, 1833, age 51.
These Graves are NOT listed in [REF:#147] Moss & Amos Vol 2 Tombstone & Cemeteries., Map 10J, Page 108 Note: Mike's Creek Bapt. Cemetery is a "BLACK" Cemetery..prs

John SARRATT married Jane ELLIS. He died 13 Sep. 1854, age 69 Children: with no dates, in the following order: 1. IRVIN; 2. John; 3. BARBARA; 4. LOUIS; 5. HARRIET; 6. NARCISSA; 7. EMELINE;
They omitted 4th daughter "Patsy" SARRATT, that married c1836 to J.R. ELLIS per John,6 W&T. ..prsJohn,6 SURRATT, was 5 years old (16 or Under) and identified living with his parents in the 1790 Census, for Spartanburg Co., SC. (See M-637, Page 88, Line 1) In the 1800 Census, for Spartanburg Co., SC. John,6 SURRATT age 15 (10 to 16) and identified living with his parents. (See M-32, Page 169, Line 3) At the age of 21 years, about 1806 John,6 SARRATT married the 24 year old JANE ELENDOR ELLIS. They are identified living on there own farm, with two of their children, in Spartanburg Co., SC in the 1810 Census. Mrs. Jane (Ellis) SARRATT was the sister of brother-in-law Anthony SARRATT wife Letitia (Ellis) SARRATT [REF: #155 pg4] In the book [REF: #90 or #155] they do NOT make reference to John,6 SARRATT's Will of 1854, nor the name of "2nd" wife Mrs. Ellendor/Ellen (Unknown) SARRATT. Even though, she was "Listed" in the W&T, living in the Household in 1850 Census, and living with Step-Dau Emline/Emaly in the 1860 Census. ...prs

SARRATT and of the subscribing Witness, Sworn to that he saw the written named John SARRATT signed and acknowledges the written instrument of writing to be his last Will and Testament, and he also saw Wm. W. TORRENCE and Wife SARAH A. TORRENCE witness themself of signing their names in present of Tester as witness to the names and that the legal heirs of the said John SARRATT, Tester as aforesaid at the time he Executed the written paper as the Last Will and Testament, to be of sound mind and disposing memory fully competent, to adjudge the true value of property and dispose of property by contract Will or otherwise.
