Mr. Noble J. SARRATT, age 88-9 wrote in 1897 and published the only records this writer has found on the early SARRATT Family (Note: spelling) of South Carolina.  Noble does NOT mention any of his family except 1st Daughter Nancy SARRATT on page 20 the last page of his essay.
Even though this writer has found a lot of errors in his work, I am especially grateful he took the time and effort to publicize his insight. In the today world with the "Internet" and WWW access for records and related families, I am sure he would be there at the head of the pack. I thank you Noble J. SARRATT. .....Paul R. Sarrett, Jr. (Dec. 09, 1990)

[Note: This writer has re-typed his (Noble SARRATT) work's and have "Posted" it on many of the BBS around the world. I also have it "linked" to the homepage on USGENWEB, Cherokee, Spartanburg, and York Co.'s Pages. (1996-1999)

On November 03, 1975 [Affidavit] was filed by Great-Grandaughter Ethel (SARRATT) BLANTON, [Mrs. Paul LEMON] I don't know quite sure why? this was written. [See Family Group #644 for a complete report ..prs]
"My name is Ethel Sarratt Blanton, and I have lived in Gaffney, South Carolina for about sixty years. I have always been interested in the early history of the SARRATT family, and my great grandfather Noble SARRATT, did a great deal of research on the family. Much of his work was published in Noble SARRATT's book "The SARRATT Family"
As a child I remember finding a box of books entitled "The SARRATT Family" by Noble SARRATT, at my Grandparents Eugenious SARRATT and Letitia L. SARRATT's home. My Grandmother was the daughter of Noble SARRATT. The books had a paper back and the fly leaf only had "The SARRATT Family" by Noble SARRATT. My father Noble Lucious SARRATT, son of Eugenious SARRATT, told to me "take three" and I did, I only have a portion of one, my mother Willie MISSOURI T. SARRATT has one, she is 89 years of age, and the other has been lost or destroyed. My father and mother, told me it was published during the lifetime of Noble SARRATT who died in 1897. My father Noble Lucius SARRATT new Noble SARRATT as he was 18 years old when he died."
