Directions:    From the light by the Childress county courthouse at the intersection of US Hwy 287 and Commerce Street go 3 blocks east on Hwy 287. Turn north on Farm Road 268 3rd St. NE and go 1/2 mile north.  The cemetery is on the east side of Farm Road 268. Joe Herb McNabb was born in Kentucky. They moved to Greenville, [Hunt Co.] Texas when he was 7 years old and lived there until he was 21 years old. Him and his mother and dad and all brothers and sisters moved close to Uticah, [Bryan Co.] Oklahoma. There he married June Sarratt on Nov. 21, 1909 and had a family of 4 then moved to Dallas and lived in October 1923 and moved in August 1924 to Childress [Childress Co.] Texas and had four more children. J. H. McNabb had surgery and had his prostrate glands removed at Wichita Falls, Texas by Dr. Regan and Dr. Taylor on August 28, 1953. He had surgery again for a hernia on March 13, 1963 at Childress General Hospital, Childress, Texas by Dr. Jack Fox. See: [REF:#002] for Continuation of this Family!

Mrs June McNABB - Obituary Childress, TX. 79201  June (SARRATT) McNABB, a93yrs died Friday, March 10, 1989.

Services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Childress Church of Christ with Doyle WELLS, minister and Mike SUITER, minister of Fairview Church of christ, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors. Mrs. McNABB was born in Indian Territory, Okla., and lived in Childress since 1924. She married Joe H. McNABB in 1910 at Durant, Okla. He died in 1965. She was retired from Childress Independent School District, where she worked in the cafeteria. She was a member of Church of Christ. She was preceeded in death by two daughters. She was preceeded in death by her Parents Wm. H. & Nancy A. SARRATT, She was preceeded in death by her 4 Brothers:  #1 Ivy G.
