     "My Dad's Mother Miss Sarah Jane STANDIFER, at age 17yrs in 1872 married Charles Lee WILLIAMS, of Collin Co., TX. they had 6 Children. Charles Lee WILLIAMS, was killed while clearing land on his farm in 1883.
     Then in 1885, the "Widow" Mrs. Sarah Jane (STANDIFER) WILLIAMS, age 28yrs married my "Dad" the 18 year old, Henry Edward SARRATT and they had 5 Children. Sarah Jane (STANDIFER) WILLIAMS, SARRATT d. 1897, age 42 in Fannin Co., TX.
     Henry Edward SARRATT, (age 33) with children moved to Indian Territory (Now Ardmore, Carter Co., OK.) so his parents could help him with the Children. Here he met and married the 19 year Miss Anna L. ROPER and they had 9 Children.
     This making my Dad having 19 brothers and sisters. Five (s/b 4) being full brothers and sisters, the last one died in 1997, age 82.

 Notes: Henry Edward Sarratt was married to "Sarah Jane Standifer (Williams)". She had six (6) children by her first marriage to Charles Lee Williams. Henry and Sarah had five (5) children, and she died in 1897.
"Lee (Charles) Williams" was killed while clearing land on their farm in 1883.
2. "Sarah Jane Standifer Williams" was about 28 yrs. old when she married "Henry Edward Sarratt" who was around 18 yrs. old. They had 5 (five) children together and Sarah died at the age of 42 yrs. old in Fannin County, Texas. Henry now 33 yrs. old, moved to Indian Territory with the children (now Ardmore, Ok.) so his parents could help him ith the children. Here he met and married "Anna Laura Roper" who was 19 yrs. old and they had 9 (nine) children together. One son out of the 14 children they had together was named
     "Henry Franklin Sarratt" born April 20, 1890 in Farmersville, Collins, Texas. and he died June 3, 1960 in San Bernardino, Calif. and buried in Ontario, San Bernardino county, Calif. He married Dora Viola Freeman, born November 13, 1896 and died October 27, 1965. They married November 27, 1909 and while alive, they had 12 children. Her parents were "Daniel E. Trained with B-17's for duty overseas. Moved to Italy, Feb-Mar 1944, and assigned to Fifteenth AF. Entered combat on 30 Mar 1944 and operated chiefly against strategic objectives. Attacked such targets as marshalling yards, oil refineries, and aircraft factories in Italy, Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Rumania, Yugoslavia, and Greece. Received a DUC for bombing oil refineries at Ploesti on 18 May 1944: when clouds limited visibility to such an extent that other groups turned back, the 463rd proceeded to Ploesti and, though crippled by opposition from interceptors and flak, rendered destructive blows to both the target and the enemy fighters. Received second DUC for leading the wing through three damaging enemy attacks to bomb tank factories in Berlin on 24 Mar 1945. Also engaged interdictory and support missions. Bombed bridges during May and Jun 1944 in the campaign for the liberation of Rome. Participated in the invasion of Southern France in Aug 1944 by striking bridges, gun positions, and other targets. Hit communications such as railroad bridges, marshalling yards, and airdromes in the Balkans. Operated primarily against communications in northern Italy during Mar and Apr 1945. After V-E Day, transported personnel from Italy to Casablanca for return to the US. Inactivated in Italy on 25 Sep 1945.

George Ed SARRATT - Click on Thumbnail for Larger Photo!  George Edward SARRATT, known as "Ed" to his family and friends died at Reno Hospital in Reno, Nev., June 8, 2011 at the age of 70. His passing was sudden due to a mass in his lung. "Ed" was living in Golconda, [Humboldt Co.] Nev., since 1995 and was a resident of Ridgecrest [Kern Co., CA.] from 1979 to 1984, where he owned and operated "Ed�s Welding Service on Station Street. "Ed" was born September 19, 1940 in Ada, [Pontotoc Co.] Okla., to Anna Mae Pillows and Willie Edward SARRATT. He was the eldest of six children. "Ed" is survived by his children:
     Terri Sarratt (daughter) and Eric Hamm of Gillette, [Campbell Co.] Wyoming;
     Delores Sarratt (daughter) and Mike Byrne of Ridgecrest [Kern Co., CA.]
     Bridgette Sarratt (daughter) and Kevin Kivisto of Kingman, [Mohave Co.] Ariz;
     Willie Sarratt (son) and Chris SARRATT (Daughter-in-law) of Twinfalls, [Twinfalls Co.] Idaho.
 He has left behind 6 grandchildren, Ryan Byrne, Sarah and Terry Kivisto, Todd, Troy and Tiffany SARRATT, and three great-grandchildren Pantera Kivisto, Hailey and Ronnie Hibbits.
 He was preceded in death by his parents,
 his loving wife of 23 years, Donna [Marie Sorenson] SARRATT, [1939-2008, 68yrs]

A friend told me, �The birth date and the death date is not what we should remember about our loved ones that have passed. It is the "dash" that separates the dates that we should dwell upon.
