His death was do to a complication of diseases. The deceased was a member of the Mineral Point Meth. Eposcopal Ch. for many yrs. Funeral services will be held at the Reighard home Thur. 2:30 pm by Rev. Arnold Beggs, of Mineral Point Meth. Episcopal Ch., with interment in the cem. at Wesley Chapel. b. Aug 12 1852, Reighard farm near Mineral Point s/o Samuel & Eliza (GIFFIN)Reighard who have been dead for some yrs. Ephraim Reighard bro. of Mrs. George GOOD, who was killed in a trolley wreck at Echo in Aug 1916, while en route to Woodland Park, near Ebensburg, to attend a family reunion. Ephraim Reighard was a staunch Republican and served his party in Conemaugh Twp as Assessor School Director, Twp Road Supervisor, Justice of the Peace & Judge of Elections. Hosp., where he had been a patient since Nov 22. His death was due to a compliction of ailments, including heart trouble. Mr. Grove was in his 79th yr. b. Jackson Twp Jul 7 1856, s/o Henry & Sarah (PLUMMER) Grove. His father passed away in 1901, his mother in 1920. Jordan S. Grove bro. of Miss Ida B. Grove, Mineral Point, Albert Grove, Glenn St., Morrellville, & Asbury Grove, Barclay St., Kernville, Harry Grove, another bro. of Jordan Grove, d. Mineral Point Dec 1933. 3 sis.s also preceded him to the grave. They were Mrs. Matilda ANDERSON, Mrs. Jane SELL & Miss Alice Grove. Mr. Grove & Catherine STUTZMAN, d/o Daniel & Mary Ann (COBAUGH) Stutzman, were m. in the Dunkard parsonage at Wesley Chapel on Feb 9 1882, the ceremony having been performed by the late Rev. For some 40 yrs Mr. Grove was track foreman at the Argyle Coal Co.'s mines in South Fork before he became the janitor of the Mineral Point School about 8 yrs ago. At 1 time Mr. Grove served as a member of the school board. Many yrs ago Mr Grove served as a deacon in the former Stutzman Ch. that stood in the vicinity of Mineral Point, but later he became affiliated with the Progressive Brethren Ch., Conemaugh. Mr Grove was a member of Vinco Council, No 994, Jr. O.U.A.M., Mineral Point. Funeral services will be conducted at the Grove home at 2:30 pm Thursday by Rev. George H. Jones, a former pastor of the deceased. Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cem."

[NI089267] Charles Uhl, Jr. was from Alleghney Co., MD. Barbary Korns (also spelled Corns) was from Somerset Co., Pa. They were m in 1814. Charles was a farmer & the first of the Uhl family to come to Holmes Co. to make their home. He, his wife, & 6 month old son Joseph arrived in 1815 settling on the land in Hardy Twp. which became the "Uhl Homestead" (in 1963 was owned by Ralph Uhl, his great grandson, who has the original "buckskin" deed to the farm). They spent the remainder of their lives on this farm. Charles died in Holmes Co., OH at age 73. Barbary died at age 71. Both are buried in the Uhl homestead cem. near Millersburg, OH.
