He was 72 yrs & 7 mos old, having been b Apr 5 1854. Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth LIVINGSTON, & these chldn; Mrs. M.C. WILSON, IN; Mrs. I.R. BAKER, Blairsville; Horace LIVINGSTON; & Mrs. Clay MARTIN, who reside at the family residence. He was the father of Ernest G. LIVINGSTON, who d 2 yrs & 7 mos ago. He also leaves a sis, Mrs. Kathryn RICHARDSON, Blairsville, the last memb of the family; 7 gchldn & 4 ggchldn. His occup.was that of a mill-worker & at the time of his death he was employed at the Daugherty Planning Mill, where he was stricken yesterday morn. [NI134508] 1/19/1916 NOAH LIVINGSTON EXPIRES AT HOME OF SON IN BLAIRSVILLE. Served in War of Rebellion Co. H, 2nd Batt., PAVol. Inf. One of IN's well known citizens & vet soldiers passed away at the home of his son in Blairsville on Sat afternoon, when death called Noah LIVINGSTON after several mo.s illness from Bright's disease, aged 73 yrs. Noah LIVINGSTON was of German parentage & was b & always resided in IN. He was an honest, hard working man & had many friends among our people. Early in the "60's" he enlisted in the army in the defense of his country & served throughout the war of the rebellion. He was a memb of IN Post G.A.R., & his efficient serv.s will be missed on Mem. Day, one of his chosen duties being to assist in marking the graves of deceased vets in the cem.s adjacent to the town. Mr. LIVINGSTON had gone last fall to spend the winter with his son, Wm. LIVINGSTON, in Blairsville & became seriously ill there. He is survived by these chldn: Mrs. Bertha BOLAN, Tarentum; William LIVINGSTON, Blairsville; Harry LIVINGSTON, OH; Mrs. Minnie McABEE, Blairsville; & Frank LIVINGSTON, IN. He also leaves these sibs: Mrs. George RICHARDSON, Blairsville; Mrs. William WINE, IN; Mrs. Adam SNYDER, IN & Mrs. George TAUBLER, Greenville, Mercer Co. Mrs. TAUBLER is in the south for her health & was unable to be here for the funeral. [NI134509] 7-29-1914 Emanuel LIVINGSTONE, aged 89 yrs, for many yrs a well-known resident of this place, was found dead at his home, in Chevy Chase this (Thu) 5:30 am. Death was due to heart trouble, from which he had been suffering for several yrs. Yesterday Mr. LIVINGSTONE was abt as usual & worked at his occupation of landscape gardener. He retired last eve in excellent spirits. This morning abt 4 am he awakened the membs of his family & said that he was not feeling very well. He went asleep again, however, & at 5:30 am death came. He leaves his 2nd wife, Mrs. Fanny LIVINGSTONE & 2 sons, John & James, by a former marriage. These sibs: Noah & Henry LIVINGSTONE, Mrs. Adam SNYDER, Mrs. W.C. WINE, all of IN; Mrs. Kate RICHARDSON, Blairsville; Mrs. George TAUBLER, Greenville, Mercer Co., & Mrs. Barbara SWEENEY, Zelienople. The funeral services will be held at the LIVINGSTONE home on Sat 2 pm by Rev. Dr. J.W. Cary, pastor Meth. Epis. ch. Bur.Oakland cem.

[NI134511] Nov. 9, 1925 MRS. R. SNYDER DIED SUDDENLY From a complication of diseases, from which she had been suffering for a no. of yrs, Mrs. Rosa SNYDER, aged 73 yrs, w/o Adam SNYDER, d at her home on West Church St. Sat 10:30 pm. While her health had not been good for some time she was apparently as well as usual on Sat & word of her death came as a severe shock to membs of her family & her many friends. The deceased had been a life-long resident of IN, b Feb 22 1852 d/o Mr. & Mrs. Henry LIVINGSTONE. She lived a quiet retired life, but took an active interest in the welfare of her neighbors & friends, to whom she was always ready to minister in times of joy or sorrow. She was a conscientious Christian & a devoted adherent of the Protestant faith, memb Zion Luth Ch here. The tragic death of her husb, who was killed on the B.R.&P. RR near his home several yrs ago was a profound shock to Mrs. SNYDER & she never fully recovered from the effects of the tragedy. She leaves these chldn Harry SNYDER, 12th St.; & Mrs. Carrie LAPSLEY, Glassport. Also leaves 8 gsons & 2 gdaugs. Funeral conducted in her late residence, 1272 W. Church St, Tue 2 pm, by her pastor, Rev. Joseph B. Baker. Bur. Oakland Cem. In the obituary notice yesterday it was stated that Mr. SNYDER had been killed by a train on the B.R.&P. Railway. This was an error. Mr. SNYDER died suddenly at the family home about four years ago.

Undertaker Mills of Rockwood had charge of the burial arrangements.

[NI135020] Commodore managed the dairy farm in Confluence, which was owned by Dr. Carl Frantz, from 1922 to 1954. Commodore had suffered a broken leg in a coal mine accident & Dr. Frantz operated on him but as a result of this operation, Commodore couldn't bend his left leg at the knee. So, Dr. Frantz gave him a home & a job managing the dairy farm.

Vol 26, pg 161 in Somerset Co. & the Registers & Orphan's Court File 1952 # Mitchell's estate at his death adjoined lands of B. Tressler, Cyrus McClintock, Alfred Conn, James F. Gower, Maklon Livingood & others. It contained 287 acres & 72 perches more or less having thereon erected a log house & stable, good orchard, good water & a portion well timbered with a sugar camp of about 1500 trees underlaid with minerals. The estate was about 1/2 mile from Fort Hill station.

John & his brother Robert supposively beat, abused & stabbed Hanna with the intent to kill him, according to oath of Alexander Hanna sworn to Bernard Connelly Jr, Justice of the Peace for Somerset Co., PA on 24 May 1830.
