Ben Ezell 1, 2 died 3 unknown in [Colorado Springs, El Paso co, CO]. He married Miriam "Ethel" Thorpe.
Juanita describes Ben as a very happy man who loved his grandchildren and loved to laugh with them. She says he was a happy man up to the very moment of his death. He died at the age of 98.
Miriam "Ethel" Thorpe [Parents] [image] 1, 2, 3, 4 was born 5, 6 on 7 Mar 1890 in Kingman, Kingman co, KS. She died 7 in 1988 in Colorado Springs, El Paso co, CO and was buried 8 in St Louis (Waterloo) Cem; Waterloo, Kingman co, KS. Miriam married Ben Ezell.

Markus "Marc" Lies [Parents] 1, 2, 3 was born 4, 5 in 1829 in Luxemburgh. He died 6, 7 in 1890 in [New Trier, Dakota co, MN]. Markus married 8 Katherina Gergen or Gorgan in 1856.
"MARKUS LIES, farmer, Sections 9 and 10, P. O. St. Mark, was born in Luxemburgh in 1829, and is a son of Henry and Susie Tomerill Lies. He was married, in 1856, to Miss Catharine Gorgan, daughter of Nicholas and Anna Gorgan. He has nine children - Susie, Nicholas, Anna, Barney, Kate, Peter, Lizzie, Abbie and Mary. His wife died in 1881; single. He came to Kansas in 1878 and located on the farm where he now resides. He owns 480 acres of land and is engaged in farming and stock raising. He has 440 acres under cultivation. He came from Minnesota to Kansas. Is a member of St. Mark Catholic Church"

1910 Census for Sedgwick county, Kansas shows Margaretha Strunk as widow and head of household. Her son Peter J. Strunk is living in the home with wife Katie and children.

George Hommerzheim [Parents] 1, 2 was born 3 about 1845 in Germany. He died unknown. George married Emma (w/o George Hommerzheim).
There was a male child in this family named Georgus, born 1839 and died 1840 , I have often seen that a child born later into the same family is given the name of the deceased child; it is with this speculation that I place this George Hommertzheim as a child in this family.

Jesse Braughten Mitchell (Dr.) [Parents] 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 was born 7, 8, 9, 10 on 29 May 1841 in Hawkins co, TN. He died 11, 12, 13 on 22 Aug 1917 and was buried 14 in Mitchell Cem; Hancock co, TN. Jesse married 15 Mattie Mitchell aft 1891 bef 1903.

Also in household (hh) is presumably his brother Robert and Mary A. Mitchell. Jesse is reported to have had a sister named Mary (middle initial not given, who is not shown in the hh of their father for 1860) who was about the same age as this Mary; however, Jesse B. Mitchell is also reported to have married a Mary Emily Fairchild; although, the middle initial is different I suppose this Mary to be his wife, as she and Jesse B. are shown on census to have both been married within the year. This Mary age 19 and the Robert Mitchell, age 17, in hh are also shown to have been in school during the past year.The following description for the location of the Mitchell Cemetery is given in the book "Families of Hawkins County Tennessee; 1786 - 1994", pg 382; " in Hancock Co (TN) on Clinch River near the mouth of Panther Creek on the north side, which was the old Mitchell farm."
The Mitchell Cemetery is on private property, I was allowed to visit the cemetery on 2 Aug 2008. Though completely overgrown and neglected there are a few headstones visible; however, I was able to read only two of them; that of J.B. Mitchell, the other for his wife, Mary E..
Mattie Mitchell [Parents] 1, 2, 3 was born 4 about 1854 in Arkadelphia, Clark co, AR and was christened 5 in Presbyterian Church. She died 6, 7 on 23 Feb 1933 in Rogersville, Hawkins co, TN and was buried 8 on 24 Feb 1933 in Mitchell Cem; Hancock co, TN. Mattie married 9 Jesse Braughten Mitchell (Dr.) aft 1891 bef 1903.
"She was born in Arkadelphia, Ark., and on the death of her parents when she was ten years old, came to Knox County, Tenn., and was brought up in the home of an uncle." ---; (1880 census shows Mattie & her sister, Maggie in the hh of Alfred H. Mitchel, their father's brother)
"On the death of her husband in 1917 she came to Rogersville, where she spent the remainder of her life." ---;
" -- interment will be in the Mitchell cemetery in Hancock county, four miles from Sneedville (TN)
She is survived by seven step-children whose love and devotion she won and kept by her kindly heart and unselfish life."
