Obituary (courtesy of Dorothy Benson) states that Alcey was the oldest of the children of David and Rebecca (Mills) Dealy; that she, with her parents, "removed to Jackson county, Missouri in 1816".
Alcey married her first husband, Francis Prine, in Feb 1827, they had ten children before his death in 1843.
Alcey's obituary further states that she was married to William Ray in 1850; in 1853 they "crossed the plains --- with ox teams --- and settled in Linn county (OR)".
Alcey had nine more children with William before his death in 1872; "since then 'Grandmother Ray' has lived with her daughter, Mrs Sarah Foren. Of the nineteen children only three are now (1905) living; Mrs Sarah Foren, F.B.Prine and William E. Ray".
Alcey was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

The obituary of Sarah's mother, Alcey (Dealy) Prine - Ray, states that after the death of her second husband in 1872, she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs Sarah Foren.
