According to Wayne Glenn, in his book "Ozark of the Ozarks", pg 20; there were two Samuel McDaniel's who "entered future Christian County (MO) about the same time." They were probably not related. "One Samuel McDaniel (the one referred to here) brought his clan in from North Carolina" The other Samuel McDaniel came from Perry County, Tennessee and settled near Kenton (MO). ;
