"He (Ren S. Brummet) was born either in Indiana or Missouri. The year 1863 was a time of travel for the Burmmet family because of the Civil War. They appear to have arrived in 1867 in Barton county, Missouri. They would live there several years, then Ren, his parents and sister, Harriet, would move to Ozark county (MO) about 1883."
After marrying "He (Ren S. Brummet) built a family home a few miles south of Rome (MO)."
"He was a hard worker and had high standards for his children to live by. In greeting friends, he would give them a mighty hug and say, 'I love you, Brother'."

From book; "Lloyd and Margaret left Indiana about 1855 and settled in Wayne co, Illinois. They then went to Barton county, Missouri about 1867. --- Lloyd and Margaret and children Harriet and Ren moved to Ozark county, (MO) about 1883. Their home was near the Douglas county, (MO) line in what was then called 'Water Hole Hollow'."
Also states that the other children "appear to have stayed in Barton county (MO) married and raised families there.
And that "Lloyd was a frontiersman and didn't farm much. He rented out his land. He was a horse trader and horse racer."
After Margaret's death, "Lloyd would live alone for several more years with the company of his many cats. Ill health forced him to move into the home of his son ,Ren and daughter-in-law, Lois."

It is only through speculation that I put Rachel as the possible daughter of Lewis Stephens; from the book, "---"; it states that "Rachel was probably the daughter of Lewis Stephens, born 1766 in Stephensburg, VA. The Stephens and Brummet families settled in Monroe County, IN in 1818. The area was later Brown County (IN)."
