     Alanson Burch was born on 4 July 1852, New York.1,2 He was the son of Wilson Burch and Harriet M. Wilbur.1
     Alanson Burch appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Porter, Van Buren, Michigan in the household of his parents, Wilson Burch and Harriet M. Wilbur.1
     Alanson Burch appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of in Otsego, Allegan, Michigan, in the household of his parents, Wilson Burch and Harriet M. Wilbur.3
     On 3 July 1873, Alanson Burch married Sarah Mary Van Sickle in Lawrence, Van Buren County, Michigan.4,5,6
     Alanson Burch and Sarah Mary Van Sickle appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Porter, Van Buren, Michigan, at Washington Street, enumerated 1 June 1880 William Van Sickles, Sally's brother, age 11 born in Michigan is also living with them. Living two dwellings from William is his brother, Lanson Burch.. Their children Minnie and Charles were listed as living with them.5
     Alanson Burch died in 1882.5,2,7 He was buried in Chamberlain Cemetery Section 2, Row 6 in located in Porter, Van Buren County, Michigan , also buried in the plot Alva J. Shugars 1856 - 1891. (Who is she?)7
