On 4 July 1841, Wilson Burch married Harriet M. Wilbur, daughter of Alanson Wilbur and Sally Moore, in Chatham, Columbia County, New York, by Rev. Loomis, Baptist minister. The wedding was witnessed by Almon B. Ashley of Greenbush Village, Rensselaer, New York...3,1,2
Wilson Burch and Harriet M. Wilbur appeared on the 1850 Federal Census in Lyons, Wayne County, New York, enumerated 13 November 1850, reporting Wilson as a laborer. Their children William H., Sarah and Mary were listed as living with them, living next door is Harriet's sister, Laura and brother-in-law Elias B. Reynolds.1
Wilson Burch and Harriet M. Wilbur appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Porter, Van Buren, Michigan, enumerated 20 August 1860, reporting Wilson as a farmer with real estate valued at $600 and personal property valued at 100. Their children William H., Mary, Alanson, Nathaniel and Edwin were listed as living with them.4 Wilson Burch began military service on 22 January 1862 in in Lawton, Van Buren, Michigan. As a Private in the Volunteer Michigan, Enlisted H Co. 12th Infantry Regiment Wilson was in the battles of:

Wilson Burch ended his military service on 5 May 1864 in Middleburg, Hardeman, Tennessee, due to an injury sustained during the battle of Chickamauga. He had injured his ankle while carrying the wounded. Wilson occupation was reported as a farmer.2
Wilson Burch and Harriet M. Wilbur appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Otsego, Allegan, Michigan, enumerated 10 July 1870, reporting Wilson as a farm laborer with no real estate and personal property valued at $1,300. Wilson Burch died on 9 January 1871 in Plainwell, Allegan, Michigan. The death date is based on Wilson's Civil War Widow's Pension application and the marriage of Harriet to Levi Galehouse.2
