Margaret Calvert Margaret Calvert on the Lion of Liverpool, 1683

It appears pretty certain that Margaret Calvert, sister to Anne, second wife of Valentine Hollingsworth, Sr., and soon-to-be wife, herself of Valentine's son Thomas Hollingsworth (not a son of Anne Calvert, of course), sailed out of Dublin, Ireland, and landed in Philadelphia 14th day of 8th month (October) 1683. The Pennsylvania Genealogical Magazine, Vol. 24, p. 93, note 88, shows 'Margaret Colvert (sic), late of Dublin came in ditto ship,' that is, the Lion of Liverpool. As many of you know, Henry Hollingsworth, son of Valentine, was also aboard that ship as an indentured servant. Margaret had seemingly paid for her passage. Her name is not in the servants' column. She was born on 24 June 1661 in Killurigan, Sego, Armagh,Ireland.^1,2 She was the daughter of Thomas Calvert and Jane Glasford.
     In 1684, Margaret Calvert married Thomas Hollingsworth, son of Valentine Hollingsworth and Ann Ree, in.²
     Margaret Calvert died on 1 August 1687 in in Rockland Manor, New Castle, Delaware, at the age of 26.¹
     Margaret was buried on Sunday, 3 August 1687 in New Castle, New Castle, Delaware.

     Thomas Calvert was born on 11 April 1617 in Lygasory, Lurgan, Armagh, Ireland.¹ He was the son of John Calvert and Grace (Unknown).
     On 11 November 1647, Thomas Calvert married Jane Glasford, daughter of Hugh Glasford and Margaret (Unknown), in Lurgan, Armagh.^2,3,4
     Thomas Calvert died between 15 March 1685 and 17 December 1686 in New Castle County, Delaware.^2,4

     William Calvert was born in 1554 in Skelton, Yorkshire England, his parents were residing at Great Moorsom.¹
     In 1579, William Calvert married Elizabeth (Unknown) in Yorkshire County.¹

     Polly "Sally" Campbell was born on 28 October 1803 in Kent, Litchfield, Connecticut.²
     On 16 October 1822, Polly "Sally" Campbell married Stephen Van Rensselaer Wilbur, son of Thomas Willbur and Abigail Salmon, in Kent, Litchfield County, Connecticut by Birdsey Beardsley, Justice of the Peace.^1,3 Stephen and Polly had seven children.⁴
     Polly Wilbur, was probably included as a white female, age thirty to thirty-nine years old, in Stephen Van Rensselaer Wilbur's household on the 1830 Census enumerated in Erin, Tioga, New York.⁵
     Polly Wilbur, was probably included as a white female, age thirty to thirty-nine years old, in Stephen Van Rensselaer Wilbur's household on the 1840 Census enumerated in Veteran, Chemung, New York. Also enumerated on this page are the families of Abijah Wilber and Lockhart Wilber. (Are they related?)⁶
     Polly Wilbur died on 2 April 1847 in Elmira, Chemung, New York, at the age of 43.^1,2
     Polly was buried in the Newton Cemetery, located in Veteran, Chemung County, New York . Wife of Stephen V. WILBUR; no dates on tombstone. Her son, Jerome, is said to be buried here also.⁷
