     Marion W Carpenter was born in July 1874, Missouri.1,2 He was the son of Alfred J. Carpenter and Martha A Packer.1
     Marion W Carpenter appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Allen, Worth, Missouri in the household of his parents, Alfred J. Carpenter and Martha A Carpenter.3
     Marion W Carpenter appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Paradise, Wallowa, Oregon in the household of his parents, Alfred J. Carpenter and Martha A Packer.2
     Marion W Carpenter appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Powhatan, Wallowa, Oregon in the household of his parents, Alfred J. Carpenter and Martha A Carpenter.4
     Marion W Carpenter appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Rainier, Columbia, Oregon in the household of his parents, Alfred J. Carpenter and Martha A Carpenter.1 Marion W Carpenter was mentioned in the obituary of Alfred J. Carpenter, as his son living in Portland, on 12 December 1927 which printed in the Morning Oregon, circulated in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.5
     Marion W Carpenter appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, in the household of James Arthur Bishop and Libbie M Bishop, his brother-in-law and sister. Also reported in the household was his and Libbie's mother, Martha.6
     Marion W Carpenter appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Spruce Precinct, Lincoln, Oregon, in the household of Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop and Myrtle A. Bishop, his brother-in-law and sister.7

     Myrtle A. Carpenter was born on 8 December 1889 in Colorado, daughter of Alfred J. Carpenter and Martha A Packer.2,4 Myrtle A. Carpenter was the daughter of Alfred J. Carpenter and Martha A Packer.2,3
     Myrtle A. Carpenter appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Paradise, Wallowa, Oregon in the household of her parents, Alfred J. Carpenter and Martha A Packer.4
     On 15 September 1907, Myrtle A. Carpenter married Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop, son of Erastus Ashbury Bishop and Margaret J Compton, at M. E. Church in Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. They were married by the Rev. Batchelder. They were attended by Roy's brother, J. Arthur Bishop and his wife.5,3,1,2,6,7,8,9
     Myrtle A. Bishop and Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Powwatka, Wallowa, Oregon, enumerated 12 May 1910, reporting Roy's name as Elmer R.. Their daughter Muriel Gladys was listed as living with them.7
     Myrtle A. Bishop and Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of St. Helens, Columbia, Oregon, at Willamette Street, enumerated 7 January 1920, reporting Roy working as a planer in a lumber mill and renting their home.. Their children Muriel Gladys and Lenore V. were listed as living with them.8 Myrtle A. Bishop was mentioned in the obituary of Alfred J. Carpenter, as his daughter living in Portland, on 12 December 1927 which printed in the Morning Oregon, circulated in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.10
     Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop and Myrtle A. Bishop appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, at 99 East Prescott Street, enumerated 10 April 1930, reporting Roy doing mill work in a lumber mill and renting a home for $28.00. Their children Lenore V., Anna R. and William O. were listed as living with them.9
     Roy Elmer "Pop" Bishop and Myrtle A. Bishop appeared on the 1940 Federal Census of Spruce Precinct, Lincoln, Oregon, at State Hwy 26, enumerated 10 April 1940. Their children Anna R. and William O. were listed as living with them.11
     Myrtle A. Bishop supplied the information on the death certificate of her mother, Martha A Carpenter who died on 26 April 1941.12
     On 27 April 1942,Roy and Myrtle lived Route 1, Toledo, Lincoln, Oregon based on the registration for WWII Military Service.13
     On 27 December 1965, Myrtle A. Bishop was living at 1566 3rd St. N. W., in Salem, Polk, Oregon, when she died at the age of 76, leaving Roy as her surviving spouse.2
     Myrtle was buried on Friday, 31 December 1965 in the Belcrest Memorial Park, located in Salem, Marion County, Oregon . Her husband, Roy Bishop, was buried next to her upon his death in 1981.2
