     Barnett Chastain was born on 30 December 1814 Henry County, Kentucky.^1,2 He was the son of George Chastain and Rebecca Staton.
     On 10 June 1834, Barnett Chastain married Cynthia Stark in.¹
     Barnett Chastain and Cynthia Chastain appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Vernon, Washington, Indiana, enumerated 7 June 1880.²
     Barnett Chastain died on 31 July 1896 in Washington County, Indiana, at the age of 81.¹
     Barnett was buried in August 1896 in the Old Union Cemetery, located in Vernon, Washington County, Iowa .¹

     Elizabeth Chastain was born on 21 January 1803 Franklin County, Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of George Chastain and Rebecca Staton.
     On 29 November 1824, Elizabeth Chastain married Henry Payne Ingle in Henry County County, Kentucky.¹
     Elizabeth Chastain died on 7 March 1856 in Coles County, Illinois, at the age of 53.¹
