     Rachel Cook was born on 17 May 1753 Culpepper County, Virginia.^2,3,4 She was the daughter of William Cook Jr and Margaret Green.¹
     On 8 February 1774, Rachel Cook married John Fouquoy Murphy, son of William Murphy and Margaret Hodge, in Pittsylvania County County, Virginia.^2,3,4
     John and Rachel migrated to Knox County, Tennessee.⁴
     John and Rachel migrated to Green County, Kentucky.⁴
     Rachel Murphy died on 3 February 1832 in Warren County, Kentucky, at the age of 78.^2,3
