     Rachel Cook was born on 17 May 1753 Culpepper County, Virginia.2,3,4 She was the daughter of William Cook Jr and Margaret Green.1
     On 8 February 1774, Rachel Cook married John Fouquoy Murphy, son of William Murphy and Margaret Hodge, in Pittsylvania County County, Virginia.2,3,4
     John and Rachel migrated to Knox County, Tennessee.4
     John and Rachel migrated to Green County, Kentucky.4
     Rachel Murphy died on 3 February 1832 in Warren County, Kentucky, at the age of 78.2,3
