     William Cook was baptized on 27 October 1832 in Banwell, Somerset, England , son of Richard Cook and Patience Beard.2 William Cook was the son of Richard Cook and Patience Beard.2
     In 1872, William Cook married Ellen Beard, daughter of William Beard and Betsy Laney, at Axbridge Registration District in Banwell, Somerset County.1,3

     William Cook Jr was born in 1737, South Carolina.1
     William Cook Jr married Margaret Green in. William Cook Jr began military service in 1779 in Virginia. Served as a private in Capt. Thomas Dunbar's company, Col. Francis Marion's South Carolina regiment.2,1
     William Cook Jr died in 1830 in Culpepper County, Virginia.1
