     Edward Doughty was born on 14 May 1685 in Piscataway, Middlesex, New Jersey.1,2 He was the son of Samuel Doty and Jane Harmon.
     Circa 1710, Edward Doughty married Sarah (Unknown) in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.1,2
     Edward Doughty left a will filed on 19 October 1717 in Piscataway, Middlesex, New Jersey.2
     Edward Doughty died between 19 October 1717 and 19 November 1717 in Piscataway, Middlesex, New Jersey.1,2 Edward's will was proved on 19 November 1717 in Piscataway, Middlesex, New Jersey; Edward's will names well beloved mother, Jane Doty; sons John and Jeremie; wife Sarah and daughter, Sarah.2

     Jeremiah Doughty was born circa 1740 Somerset County, New Jersey.1,2 He was the son of John Doughty and Maritje Mary (Unknown).
     Circa 1762, Jeremiah Doughty married Sarah (Unknown) in.1,3 Jeremiah Doughty began military service in 1775 Served in the American Revolution.4
     On 23 August 1811, Jeremiah Doughty married Susannah Owen Stovall in Bowling Green, Warren County, Kentucky.1,3
     Jeremiah Doughty died on 12 May 1816 in Smith County, Tennessee. No Smith County Tennessee probate record for Jeremiah or Susannah Doty has been found.1,3

     John Doughty was born before 30 April 1712 in Somerville, Somerset, New Jersey.1,2 He was the son of Edward Doughty and Sarah (Unknown).
     Between 1740 and 1743, John Doughty married Maritje Mary (Unknown) in Somerville, Somerset County, New Jersey.1,2 John Doughty began military service in 1775 Served in the American Revolution as did his sons Jerimiah, John Jr. and Peter, and James Voorhees, husband of daughter Maria.2
     John Doughty died circa 1778 in in Somerville, Somerset, New Jersey.1,2

     Mary Doughty was born in 1835, Kentucky.1 She was the daughter of Preston Holcomb Doughty and Nancy Wright.
     Mary Doughty appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of in 2nd District, Warren, Kentucky in the household of her father Preston Holcomb Doughty.1
