Preston E Doughty and Amanda S. Doughty appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Klickitat, Washington Territory, enumerated 19 June 1860, reporting Preston as a Farmer with $100 of Real Estate and $1,000 of Personal Property. Their children Armildia and Charles were listed as living with them.5
Preston E Doughty died on 14 March 1865 at the age of 33.2
Preston was buried in the Fircrest Cemetery, located in Monmouth, Polk County, Oregon . Originally buried in the Davidson Cemetery in Monmouth, Polk, Oregon, and then reburied in Fircrest Cemetery, Monmouth, Polk, Oregon about 1934 0r 1924.2
