     Preston E Doughty was born on 26 June 1831, Kentucky.1,2 He was the son of Preston Holcomb Doughty and Nancy Wright.1
     Preston E Doughty appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of in 2nd District, Warren, Kentucky in the household of his father Preston Holcomb Doughty.1
     On 24 June 1857, Preston E Doughty married Amanda S. Kramer, Polk County County, Oregon. They were married by Rev John E Murphy, Preston's brother-in-law. The ceremony was witnessed by James Thompson Murphy Preston's uncle.3,4
     Preston E Doughty and Amanda S. Doughty appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Klickitat, Washington Territory, enumerated 19 June 1860, reporting Preston as a Farmer with $100 of Real Estate and $1,000 of Personal Property. Their children Armildia and Charles were listed as living with them.5
     Preston E Doughty died on 14 March 1865 at the age of 33.2
     Preston was buried in the Fircrest Cemetery, located in Monmouth, Polk County, Oregon . Originally buried in the Davidson Cemetery in Monmouth, Polk, Oregon, and then reburied in Fircrest Cemetery, Monmouth, Polk, Oregon about 1934 0r 1924.2

     Preston Holcomb Doughty was born on 10 March 1790, South Carolina.1 He was the son of Daniel Doughty and Susannah Holcombe.
     On 19 October 1809, Preston Holcomb Doughty married Nancy Wright, daughter of Jacob Wright and Nancy Elizabeth Ann Waters, in Bowling, Warren County, Kentucky.2,3
     Preston Holcomb Doughty appeared on the 1850 Federal Census in 2nd District, Warren, Kentucky, enumerated 13 September 1850. His children Preston E and Mary were listed as living with him.4
