     Joseph Hollingsworth was born in 1735 Cecil County, Maryland. He was the son of George Hollingsworth and Hannah Mc Kay Mc Coy.
     Before 1763, Joseph Hollingsworth married (Unknown) Frost in, Joseph married contrary to discipline for which he was disowned by Friends...1 Joseph Hollingsworth Went to Bush River South Carolina in 1768. in 1768.
     On 6 April 1768, Joseph Hollingsworth married Margaret Wright, daughter of John Wright Sr. and Rachel Wells, in 96th district, (now Greenwood County) County, South Carolina.2
     Joseph Hollingsworth died on 10 September 1792 in Bush River, Newberry, South Carolina.1

     Joseph Hollingsworth was born on 25 May 1802, South Carolina.1 He was the son of Abraham Hollingsworth and Eunice Steddom. On 8 November 1804, Abraham and Eunice were received as a Quaker at the Miami Monthly Meeting in in Miami, Warren County, Ohio, from Bush River Monthly Meeting, Newbury, South Carolina. The certificate was dated 25 August 1804.. Also received into the meeting were Martha Hollingsworth and Henry Hollingsworth.1,2
