     Benjamin Johnston was born in June 1855 Canada.2
     Benjamin Johnston married Elizabeth Ann Dugger, daughter of John W Dugger and Catherine Malinda Bean, in, based on the birth of the children..3,4
     Benjamin Johnston and Elizabeth Ann Johnston appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Grass Valley, Sherman, Oregon, enumerated 15 June 1900. Their children and his step children John, Martha, Mary J., Bessie E., May, Rhoda E., Violet Mabel and Benjamin Albert were listed as living with them.4
     Benjamin Johnston and Elizabeth Ann Johnston appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Boring Precinct, Clackamas, Oregon, enumerated 19 April 1910 Their children Violet Mabel, Benjamin Albert and Lewis were listed as living with them.5
     Benjamin Johnston and Elizabeth Ann Johnston appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Boring Precinct, Clackamas, Oregon, enumerated 22 April 1930.6
