     Mary McLaughlin was born in September 1861,Ireland.1,2
     Mary McLaughlin immigrated arriving on 1888, reported by the 1900 Elk Point, Union County, South Dakota US Federal Census.
     In 1889, Mary McLaughlin married Charles Morris Conrad, son of Ferdinand Conrad and Jane Whitlock, in.1
     Mary Conrad and Charles Morris Conrad appeared on the 1900 Federal Census of Elk Point, Union, South Dakota, enumerated 19 June 1900.3
     Mary Conrad and Charles Morris Conrad appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Elk Point, Union, South Dakota, enumerated 20 April 1910, reporting Charles as a General Farmer who owns his farm free and clear.4
     Mary McLaughlin died on 29 November 1914 in Union, South Dakota, at the age of 53. Based on the appearance on the 1910 Census and Charles being reported as a widower on the 1920 census.5,4
