     Anna Marie Merlau was born on 31 August 1834,Germany.1
     Circa 1846, Anna Marie Merlau married Heinrich Lanz in, date based on oldest child Elizabeth's birth in 1847..
     Anna Marie Lanz and Henry Lanz appeared on the 1861 Canadian Census of North Easthope, Perth, Ontario, Canada, enumerated 14 January 1861. Their children Catherina, John, Anna Catherine, Henry, Elizabeth and Mary were listed as living with them.2
     Anna Marie Lanz and Henry Lanz appeared on the 1871 Canadian Census of North Easthope, Perth, Ontario, Canada, enumerated 2 April 1871, reporting the household religion as Lutheran. Their children Catherina, John, Anna Catherine, Henry and Emma were listed as living with them.3
     Anna Marie Lanz and Heinrich Lanz appeared on the 1881 Canadian Census of North Easthope, Perth, Ontario, Canada, enumerated 4 April 1881 Their children John, Anna Catherine, Henry, Emma and Minnie were listed as living with them.4
     Anna Marie Lanz was listed as the spouse in the will of her husband Heinrich Lanz 17 March 1888 North Easthope Township, Perth County, Ontario, Canada.5
     Anna Marie Merlau died on 17 April 1905 in North Easthope, Perth County, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 70.1
