     Esther Hannah Moore was born on 18 July 1830 in Wellsboro, Tioga, Pennsylvania.3,4,2 She was the daughter of Rockwell H. Moore and Julia Ann Churchill.2
     On 15 June 1850, Esther Hannah Moore married Russell Holmes "Russ" Wilbur, son of Stephen Van Rensselaer Wilbur and Polly "Sally" Campbell, in Elmira, Chemung County, New York.4,2
     Esther Hannah Wilbur appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Veteran, Chemung, New York in the household of her parents, Rockwell H. Moore and Julia Ann Moore.4
     In 1859, Russell and Esther migrated to Covington, Dakota, Nebraska.5
     Esther Hannah Wilbur and Russell Holmes "Russ" Wilbur appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of in Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska, enumerated 8 July 1860. Their children John Albert and Guy Russel were listed as living with them.6
     Esther Hannah Wilbur and Russell Holmes "Russ" Wilbur appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Ponca, Dixon, Nebraska, enumerated 15 July 1870. Their children John Albert, Fanny Antoinette, Charles Eugene, Franklin Pierce, Guy Russel and George Burr were listed as living with them, living near the family is Russell's cousin Jefferson Wilbur.7
     Esther Hannah Wilbur and Russell Holmes "Russ" Wilbur appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of La Porte, Wayne, Nebraska, enumerated 3 June 1880 Their children John Albert, Fanny Antoinette, Charles Eugene, Franklin Pierce, Carrie Esther and George Burr were listed as living with them, as well as Russell's father, Stephen Van Rensselaer Wilbur.3
     Esther Hannah Wilbur and Russell Holmes "Russ" Wilbur appeared on the 1885 State Census of Wayne, Wayne, Nebraska, enumerated 27 June 1885.8
     Esther Hannah Moore died on 8 December 1896 in Wilber Precinct, Wayne, Nebraska, at the age of 66.9
     Esther Hannah Moore's obituary was printed in the The Wayne Republican, circulated in Wilber Precinct, Wayne County, Nebraska, on 9 December 1896.9
Esther's obituary states:
DIED: At her residence in Wilbur precinct on Tuesday December 8, Mrs.. R.H. Wilbur, aged 66 years. The deceased was among the earliest settlers of the county and leaves to mourn her demise several sons, daughters and a host of friends. The funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church in this city tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon at 2 p.m.9
