     Jared Parrott was born on 29 May 1853 in Veteran, Chemung, New York.1,2 He was the son of John Albert Parrott and Maria Antionette Wilbur.1

     On 4 September 1847, John Albert Parrott married Maria Antionette Wilbur, daughter of Stephen Van Rensselaer Wilbur and Polly "Sally" Campbell, in Veteran, Chemung County, New York.1,3
     John Albert Parrott and Maria Antionette Parrott appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Veteran, Chemung, New York, enumerated 20 September 1850. Their son Jerome was listed as living with them, as well as Maria Antionette's father, Stephen Van Rensselaer Wilbur and her brother, Eugene.1
     John Albert Parrott and Maria Antionette Parrott appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Veteran, Chemung, New York, enumerated 13 August 1860. Their children Jerome, Jared, Clarence W. and Antionette Alice were listed as living with them.2
