     Mary M. Pew was born in 1817 in Lansing, Tompkins, New York.1
     Circa 1833, Mary M. Pew married Jesse Whitlock, son of John Whitlock and Mary Morris, in.1
     Mary M. Whitlock, was probably included as a white female, age twenty to twenty-nine years old, in Jesse Whitlock's household on the 1840 Census enumerated in Ithaca, Tompkins, New York.2
     Mary M. Whitlock and Jesse Whitlock appeared on the 1850 Federal Census Genoa, Cayuga, New York, enumerated 12 September 1850, reporting his occupation as a shoemaker. Their children George M., Alonzo, Harriet, Hiriam M. and Darius C. were listed as living with them.3
     Mary M. Whitlock and Jesse Whitlock appeared on the 1860 Federal Census of Ithaca, Tompkins, New York, enumerated 23 July 1860. Their children Harriet, Darius C., Edison C. and Hannah Julia were listed as living with them.4
     Mary M. Whitlock and Jesse Whitlock appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Ithaca, Tompkins, New York, enumerated 2 August 1870. Their children Hiriam M., Susan and Hannah Julia were listed as living with them.5 On the 1880 Census, Mary was listed as the wife of in Ithaca, Tompkins, New York. Also living in the household were , her daughter, Jesse Whitlock.6
     Mary M. Whitlock died on 16 September 1897 in Ithaca, Tompkins, New York.1
     Mary was buried in September 1897 in the East Lawn Cemetery, located in Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York . Age 80 years.1,7
